Thousands gather at Michigan Capitol as debate continues in House
The Obama administration, in a statement Thursday afternoon, came out against proposed “right-to-work” legislation being pushed by Republicans in Michigan including Gov. Rick Snyder (R).
Michigan Republican Governor Rick Snyder is on a post-election power grab to strip the rights of workers. Just like Wisconsin, the Koch brothers have emerged from the shadows to support Snyder’s extreme lurch to the right.
Michigan voters tried to make clear that they didn’t want this, but they were shut out of the state Capitol building. What Republicans are doing in Michigan is more than anti-worker – it’s just plain wrong. This isn’t the way states should be run.
Add your name to send a message to Snyder and the Kochs that we won’t stand for this. We support workers in Michigan who are fighting to be heard.
Forward vs. Backward: Saving the U.S. Auto Industry
Before President Obama took office, the economy was losing 800,000 jobs a month. Now, we’ve seen 31 consecutive months of job growth and 5.2 million new private sector jobs. Mitt Romney opposed the auto industry rescue.
FACT: Romney wanted to “Let Detroit go bankrupt,” insists that the President’s rescue of the industry was a “mistake.”
Women have the power to decide this election—but we’ve got to step up and get organized right now to make it happen.

An Appropriate Bumper Sticker For an Appropriate Car
“It makes sense that a Chevrolet Volt owner would be a Barack Obama supporter.
After all, President Obama saved General Motors, while Mitt Romney was ready to “let Detroit go bankrupt.”
And Republicans don’t like electrified, efficient vehicles, either.”
